Location: Brownsburg, IN and Traveling to 20+ race events
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Negotiable based on experience

About the role
We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Truck Driver / Hospitality Leader to run our hospitality area during race weekends. This candidate will safely drive the Class-A truck and trailer to/ from each race. You will handle everything from pre-event planning (at Brownsburg, IN shop) and setup to guest experience and end-of-day clean-up, ensuring our sponsors and guests enjoy a smooth, professional, and welcoming environment. This job requires the candidate to have and maintain a CDL license while being comfortable to drive by oneself (dual drivers on occasion). The candidate should be physically fit to handle the duties of setting up and tearing down the pit space, including awning, awning poles, flooring, etc. Yearly travel can reach up to 180-200 days in the National Hot Rod Association circuit. When not at a race, candidate will be based in Brownsburg, IN.

Responsibilities

Weeks before each race:

  • Coordinate with marketing team to confirm guest numbers.
  • Decide number of tables, chairs, etc. to bring to the upcoming race.
  • Confirm event timing and gather any additional details.
  • Purchase and organize drinks (Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, water, etc.), snacks, and supplies.
  • Organize and inventory items for merchandise booth.

Days before travelling to race:

  • Prepare and maintain semi-truck and trailer, awning, flooring, tables and chairs, etc. Take all necessary steps to drive the rig down the road safely.
  • Confirm final guest count.
  • Stock all hospitality items (tables, chairs, etc.), merchandise apparel, drinks, snacks, marketing items, etc. on trailer.

Race event set-up:

  • Locate pit space and park hospitality trailer accordingly.
  • Set up awning, flooring, tables, chairs, and all other pit necessities.
  • Set up garbage cans and prep drink coolers.
  • Confirm event info and plans with marketing team.

Day of event (before gates open):

  • Put table covers on all tables and wipe them down.
  • Fully stock beverages.
  • Clean hospitality trailer (sweep, Swiffer, wipe seating, remove trash).
  • Clean and stock bathroom (toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap).
  • Ensure microphone and AV system work properly.
  • Verify NHRA.tv and/or NHRA on Roku are working on all three TVs.
  • Make sure golf cart is clean.
  • Remove trash from in front of pit.

Throughout the event day:

  • Keep hospitality area clean and presentable at all times.
  • Refill beverages as needed.
  • Greet and direct guests, guiding team guests to the back tables and explaining that catered food is for sponsor guests only.

Qualifications

  • Reliable CDL truck driver, experience required.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, event management, guest services, or similar roles. Not required but a definite plus.
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. (as needed for setup).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor/event environment.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Able to work weekends, holidays, and travel during race season.
  • Valid CDL license
