Valvetrain Design Engineer

Lakewood, NJ, USA Full Time

Jesel, Inc., a world-renowned leader in high-performance valvetrain technology, is seeking a talented Valvetrain Design Engineer to join our Engineering team in Lakewood, New Jersey. This position will focus on the design, development, and testing of high-performance valvetrain components and systems for racing and performance engine applications. We are looking for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and an interest in engines, motorsports, machining, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Design rocker arms, stands, shafts, and related valvetrain components.
  • Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
  • Develop designs based on engine geometry, customer requirements, and performance objectives.
  • Work closely with Engineering, R&D, CNC Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales.
  • Assist with prototype development, testing, and design improvements.
  • Perform tolerance and dimensional analysis.
  • Support troubleshooting of component wear, failures, and performance issues.
  • Work directly with customers and engine builders on technical applications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • 3D CAD experience; SolidWorks preferred.
  • Basic understanding of GD&T, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on automotive, racing, machining, or engine-building experience is a plus.
